Homan: AOC’s Actions Possibly Illegal ‘Impediment’ to Law Enforcement

Tom Homan, the Trump border Czar on CNN’s State of the Union Sunday, said that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York could face prosecution if the Department of Justice finds her webinar on how to avoid deportation an “impediment”.
Homan asked, “Is this woman crossing the line?” On Fox News. I’m working closely with the Department of Justice to find out where they crossed that line. “So maybe AOC is going to have trouble now.”
The host Dana Bash asked, “Are You Suggestion That She Should Be Prosecuted?”
Homan replied, “I’m suggesting that I ask the Department of Justice where that line is on impediment. Right? It’s an expansive statute. It’s a broad statute. What is the limit? What’s the limit of impeding? You can call it “Know Your Rights” all you like. We all know the bottom line. How do they avoid law enforcement? That’s the bottom line.

Bash said: “She said she was just offering civil educational and that you may be ‘Vaguely aware of the U.S. Immigration Law’, but that she’s just doing what she has to do to remind the people of the laws of the land.”
Homan replied, “Vaguely aware of the U.S. Immigration law. Since 1984, I have been doing this. I’ve forgotten more about immigration law than AOC ever will. In fact. I told her that illegal entry into the country was a crime. “I’m not playing that game with you.”
