The Vice President Kamala Harris hosted an event on Monday in Michigan that was billed a “townhall” – but when the attendees asked whether their questions would be answered, Maria Shriver revealed that all questions had been predetermined.

The Trump War Room shared a video of Shriver making the embarrassing admission, with the caption “The host admits that the audience cannot ask questions during Kamala’s fake town hall, which featured Loser War Hawk Liz Cheney, because the questions have been pre-determined.”

The video shows Shriver, the niece of John F. Kennedy and former president, answering an audience member’s question about whether or not anyone in attendance would be able to ask a presidential candidate a question — which is traditionally the purpose of putting on a town hall. She told the person that she would ask them the questions they wanted answered.

Shriver stated, “You are not, unfortunately. We have some questions predetermined and I will hopefully be able ask some of the question that may be in your mind, I hope,”

Curtis Houck replied, “This woman, Maria Shriver no less, cosplays in the role of a journalist for NBC News!”

Another social media user stated: “Predetermined questions are the perfect way to make a town hall feel like a real town hall.”

One person asked: “Who needs Maria Shriver thinking for them when she can do it for you?”

Bill Ackman explained that there are two main reasons why voters dislike scripted @KamalaHarris. “(1) They are interested in what she truly thinks. Her team has prepared answers to the questions in advance. She simply repeats them. Harris’ true self and her beliefs are not revealed. (2) The president is not usually given the tough questions in advance, and he must be prepared to react at any moment to situations that may determine the future of the country. “The script for reality does not come in advance, and America needs to have a leader who can respond to new situations as they arise. A teleprompter is not enough to lead.”

Two main reasons are given by voters for their opposition to @KamalaHarris scripted:

Some also claimed that, if the questions had been predetermined, Harris and her team would have had access to them prior to the event and prepared their answers. Many others noted that after Democrats and the media complained for nearly 48 hours about how “scripted,” former President Donald Trump’s McDonald’s visit had been, it was a bit on the nose of Harris to hold a “townhall” without asking a single question.
