Trump DOJ moves funds used for transgender projects, DEI to support law enforcement

DOJ Redirects Funds from DEI Initiatives to Law Enforcement
The Justice Department, under the leadership of Attorney General Pam Bondi, has made a decisive shift in funding priorities, moving away from supporting transgender ideology and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Instead, these funds are now being allocated towards bolstering law enforcement efforts.
Strategic Financial Reallocations
A Justice Department official emphasized the new focus in an interview with Fox News Digital, stating that under Bondi’s guidance, the DOJ will “not waste” funds on DEI. “The Department of Justice under Pam Bondi will not waste discretionary funds on DEI passion projects that do not make Americans safer,” the official explained. “We will use our money to get criminals off the streets, seize drugs, and in some cases, fund programs that deliver a tangible impact for victims of crime.”
Immediate Changes in DOJ Policy
On her very first day in office, Attorney General Bondi took decisive action to halt all DEI programs within the department. She ordered the cessation of all references to DEI in training programs, ending the focus on race and sex-based criteria, and mandated that hiring and promotion should be based “solely on merit.”
Results and Future Commitments
Reflecting on her first month in office, Bondi reported significant progress to Fox News Digital. “We are arresting violent terrorists, dismantling cartel networks, and rooting DEI out of American institutions,” she stated. Bondi reaffirmed her commitment to President Trump’s agenda, promising to “continue working day in and day out to deliver on President Trump’s Make America Safe Agenda.”

The redirection of funds and the focus on merit-based policies underscore a significant shift in the DOJ’s approach under Bondi’s leadership, aligning closely with conservative principles and President Trump’s law and order priorities.
