US Air Force tweets image of soldier saluting the LGBTQI+ Pride flag
The United States Air Force tweeted on Wednesday, as Pride Month is in full swing, an image of a US Air Force soldier saluting the LGBTQI+ Flag.
June is Pride Month. The tweet read: “The Department of the Air Force is proud to recognize and celebrate generations of LGBTQI+ members and their contribution to our Air Force & Space Force”, it stated.
The tweet included a graphic with the words “Celebrate Pride Month” and an image of a soldier saluting in front of a LGBTQ flag.
Air Force Global Strike Command replied to the tweet by writing “Our diversity is a competitive advantage.”
The image sparked backlash, with Libs of TikTok stating, “What a shame.”
Benny Johnson, a conservative commentator, asked: “Why does the Service member salute the alphabet cult’s flag?” It is illegal for uniformed military personnel to salute any flag other than the American one.
This cult actively denigrates our military, and replaces the American flag as if we were a conquered nation. “This must stop”, he said.
Rep. Ralph Norman, R-SC, wrote: “The only colors American soldiers should salute are Red White and blue.”
