Today, Brigadier-General (Ret.) John Teichert declared that he will run to represent Marylanders in the US Senate.

After serving as a general in the United States Air Force General Teichert said he was ready to run for office “as a true leader and not a politician.”

The government shutdown that was narrowly avoided is another reminder of how Washington is broken. I’m running for U.S. Senate because I want to replace politics with real leadership. This includes restoring order at our porous border, reducing inflation, and increasing taxes. It also means putting parents in control of their childrens’ education and taking back our crime-ridden street. -General Teichert
