Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh: Terrorists Must ‘Build Upon’ October 7 Attack; Donations To Gaza Are Not Only ‘Humanitarian Aid’ But ‘Financial Jihad’

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh encouraged Islamic terrorism this week to “build on” the “victory” that took place on 7 October, when Palestinian terrorists killed 1,200 Israelis during an unprecedented terrorist attack against Israel.

Haniyeh delivered the remarks on Tuesday at the International Union of Muslim Scholars conference in Doha (Qatar), according to a Middle East Media Research Institute translation.

He said, “There’s verbal Jihad – Jihad with the tongue – but the time is now for Jihad using the swords.” “This is not a battle between the Palestinians or Gazans or people from Gaza. This is a battle for Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

He said that the people in Gaza are not only there to defend but also to attack.

He continued, “We cannot let this moment pass by.” The time is now. There are few historical moments as important as this. Don’t let this opportunity slip by. This is a rare historical moment for our nation and Islamic scholars. Don’t let this moment pass, because we don’t know how many years will pass before a similar moment occurs.

“Time is our ally. He continued: “At the start of this aggressive campaign, the Americans waved a big stick at the world. Even in some European countries, prominent Palestinians and Arabs were called and told to not raise the Palestinian flag. “But now the language has changed in the same countries. Why did it change? The [Palestinian] firmness. The conscience of the entire world would have crumbled if not for the [Palestinian] steadfastness. We should build upon this steadfastness, brothers. “We should build on the victory of October 7.”

“This isn’t just a humanitarian issue, despite the immense importance of this issue and Gaza’s desperate need for aid. “This is financial Jihad,” said he.
