The Trump Administration Is Suing Maine, and the Hits Keep Coming

The Office of Civil Rights issued a Notice Violation for Maine on Wednesday. State Rep. Laurel Libby, R-ME, also reacted.
Certain blue states refuse to comply with the executive order signed by President Donald Trump last month, which protects girls’ and women’s sports against boys and men. Maine’s Democratic Governor Janet Mills was particularly difficult to deal with, even when she met the president in person when the governors of America were invited to the White House. In such an exchange, lawsuit threats were made. On Wednesday afternoon, White House press secretary Karoline leavitt confirmed that a lawsuit was indeed being brought against Maine.
Leavitt revealed this during his exchange with The Daily Wire’s Mary Margaret Olohan, who reminded the governor that he “has really pushed forward” and asked what was the next step. Leavitt said that the Department of Education had sued the State of Maine, mentioning “ongoing litigation.” She also mentioned that “the President has made a promise to ensure that the states are held accountable for continuing to allow men to participate in women’s sport, which she believes is a egregious abuse of taxpayer dollars. So that fight continues, and the president will not back down.”
State Rep. Laurel Libby was delighted with the announcement. She is a Republican, who had been censured for speaking out in support of women and girls in Maine by Ryan D. Fecteau.

Last month, the Department of Education released a press release highlighting that a Title IX Investigation was launched against the Maine Department of Education as well as a particular school district. Trump’s spat with Mills also came up.
The press release stated that “the letter also informs MDOE that OCR will be launching an inquiry into Maine School Administration District #51 (MSAD#51), following reports that Greely high school, a student under their jurisdiction, continues to allow at the least one male to compete in girl’s categories.”
In addition, Pam Bondi, the Attorney General, is looking at taking action against Maine after sending warning letters to California, Minnesota, and Pine Tree State.
The polls show that Americans of all political stripes are in favor of protecting women’s and girls’ sports. A poll conducted by Harvard Caps/Harris last week showed that 69 percent of voters supported “Banning males who have had operations or hormones to turn female from playing girls’ sports.”
Another poll conducted by The New York Times/Ipsos showed even better results. In a poll conducted earlier this year, 79 percent said that men shouldn’t be allowed to take part in women’s sport. Even 67 per cent of Democratic respondents agreed.
Leavitt, who also referred to this issue, described it as an 80/20 issue, with a majority even supporting the proposal.
All Senate Democrats voted on Monday against the passage of a bill which would have made Trump’s executive orders law. The bill therefore failed to overcome the Senate filibuster. The bill passed the House of Representatives in January. However, only two Democrats supported the legislation and one voted “present.”

Holy Moly…Mills looks as twisted as her “thinking”.
