On social media, conservatives praised Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis debate performance against California Governor. Gavin Newsom, and why they think he won the Fox News Debate.

Mark Levin, a conservative radio host, posted on X: “DeSantis kicks Newsom in the shins.” Newsom looks and sounds silly.

Levin wrote in another blog post: “DeSantis beat the star Democrat Party member.” It’s that simple.

“I was 100 percent wrong in this debate.” Clay Travis, founder of Outkick, wrote on X: “I thought Gavin Newsom was intelligent and likable.” “I was wrong. This is a slaughter. Newsom’s corner, if this was a boxing bout, would have given up long ago. DeSantis won the entire match from start to finish.

Andrew Pollack posted on X that his daughter Meadow Pollack died in the Parkland shooting. “Ron DeSantis wasn’t even Governor at the time, but I am sure as hell happy he became Governor soon after. Governor DeSantis dismissed the incompetent individuals responsible and did not demonize lawful firearm owners. Newsom is trash!”

Chris Loesch, a conservative commentator on X.com, posted “Holy Cow.” If you’re not blind, you are watching the demise of California Governor. Gavin then says that the graphic depicting the facts is not true. Hannity has put up the graphic and Hannity is the one who said it. DeSantis destroys him by comparing records.

Dave Rubin, a conservative commentator on X, posted: “I’ve seen nothing like this.” “Newsom can’t even say a single sentence that is accurate. DeSantis calmly lays out the facts and reality. The disconnect between Newsom and the Left was exactly what was needed. “Is there anyone who thinks Newsom did a good job in this situation on Twitter.com?”

Substack’s publisher Jordan Schachtel wrote on X: “I think DeSantis has just ended Newsom’s POTUS aspirations.” “Exposed him to be a soulless, lizard-like person. All night, I landed haymakers. “The best governor in the country showed up in top shape tonight.”

A Newsom spokesperson pointed Fox News Digital at social media posts by conservatives who believed DeSantis had lost the debate. This included GOP strategist Mike Madrid, who wrote on X about Newsom “bludgeoning’ the Florida Governor.

Newsom posted on social media that the debate was “fun — I could’ve kept going.”
