Female Republican Senators Express Support for Pete Hegseth: ‘The Answer’ to Restoring the Military

After meeting with Pete Hegseth on Monday, Sen. Cynthia Lummis expressed her full support after an onslaught from the established media.

“Are soldiers often wild children? “Yes, it can happen. But, this is the man who is able to restore confidence to the American people in their military and in the ability of the United States to project its strength in the world,” she said to reporters on Tuesday.

Her support is crucial at this time as Hegseth has been attacked by anonymous sources for his alleged drinking and sexual behavior with women dating back to 2014.

Shelley Moore Capito, a Republican Senator from West Virginia, also expressed her support for Hegseth. She posted that she was happy to meet him and to discuss their common priorities of restoring U.S. deterrence as well as attracting patriotic young Americans into military service.

Rabbi Menken here. America has abandoned its moral center. In fact, 83% of Americans agree that we’re in a moral decline. Our nation has replaced Biblical Values with the false idol of humanism and moral relativism, but we’re not staying silent and neither should you. Will you join the Coalition for Jewish Values and support our nationwide efforts to restore the Biblical foundations of America?

Sen. Marsha blackburn (R-TN), who met with Hegseth last week, has been a staunch supporter of Hegseth. She has praised his credentials and record since that time.

She said that he was more than qualified for the position of Secretary of Defense.

The male Republican Senators have also shown their support, but the female Republican senators’ support is particularly important, as his critics are smearing him with 2017 accusations of rape despite a report from the police saying that there was no proof of rape and mistreatment of woman.
