Illegal Immigration Overload: Border Town’s Criminal Prosecutions Explode by 5,000% on Biden’s Watch

Kinney County in Texas, one border community, has seen criminal charges explode under President Joe Biden. Illegal immigration is at record levels.

Kinney County Attorney Brent Smith informed lawmakers last week that the county had only 134 criminal cases to be prosecuted in 2020 under former president Donald Trump.

Smith reported that after Biden “issued numerous executive orders revoking many border security policies”, criminal charges for prosecution soared in 2021, to almost 3,000. In 2022, they reached 6,800, and in 2023, more than 5,800.

Kinney County has seen criminal charges increase from 2020-2022 by nearly 5,000%, and from 2023 to 2020 by over 4,200%.

If you think our 2nd Amendment Rights are safe now that Trump won, think again. Over a hundred Leftist groups have implemented a resistance movement against Trump’s reforms. They call it “Trump Proofing,” and if they succeed, conservatives will have lost. Smith, Smith’s deputy director of public affairs told legislators that “Kinney county normally operates with a budget of $6 million dollars per year”.

The open border policies of the Biden administration have forced the county to expand our local criminal justice systems, resulting in an additional cost of 10.5 million dollars for Texas taxpayers. [Emphasis added]

Smith stated that illegal immigration has reached record levels under Biden. This is affecting public schools, first-responder systems and law enforcement agencies.

Smith informed lawmakers that Kinney County residents who needed emergency medical care died twice because these services were devoted to migrants crossing the border.

Smith stated that “on both occasions, the paramedics who were available were already dispatched to a human smuggling event miles away and could not respond to county residents.” “This is an example of the deadly consequences open border policies can have for Americans in this country.”

Kinney County is home to fewer than 3200 residents. Kinney County, which is located in the Del Rio Sector, was the site of nearly 200,000 migrants crossing the border from October 20,23 to March this year.
