MSNBC Faces Backlash from Jewish Trump Supporters After Nazi Rally Comparison

MSNBC has been criticized for comparing the recent Madison Square Garden event of former President Donald Trump to the pro-Nazi gathering held in the same New York City venue back in 1939. This was after they inserted 85-year-old video of the crowd giving the Seig Heil salutes between clips of the Republican Sunday audience.

Jonathan Capehart of the far left network called Trump’s rally at the Arena “chilling” due to the German American Bund event that was completely unrelated.

Capehart, while playing black-and white footage of Nazi supporters, said: “But the jamboree that is happening right now in this place, as you can see on your screen, is particularly chilling, because in 1939 more than 20,000 Nazi supporters, Adolf Hitler’s followers, crowded into the Garden to attend a rally that was billed as pro-America.”

Ruth Ben-Ghiat, a CNN contributor and historian, agreed with Capehart in calling the Trump rally a “overt Nazi analogy.”

The segment angered thousands of Trump supporters. Several Jewish supporters of former President Trump said MSNBC “mocked the Holocaust and diminished the memory of millions of Jews that perished during this period”.

The journalist Yaakov Strasberg posted on X: “Please explain to us Orthodox Jewish Trump Supporters (the vast majority) how this is a ‘Nazi Rally’.”

Shane Ginsberg, a social media influencer, mocked the claims of media outlets, writing “I am Jewish.” I attended the Nazi rally. I’m voting Trump. Any questions?”

Debra Lea, a “Jewish New York Republican”, posted a video on X in order to correct the record and call out the “mainstream press”

On the campaign trail for vice-president, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a Democrat, compared Trump’s rally with the Nazi event of 1939, and told his Las Vegas Nevada supporters to “Google” that event on Sunday.

Breitbart News checked the facts on these “Nazis” claims and comparisons coming from the Democrat camp. They noted that Jewish people had also held anti Nazi rallies in Madison Square Garden.

The Trump War Room pointed out also that the Democrat National Conventions took place at Madison Square Garden multiple times during the decade.
