Even a supposed federal watchdog is now radically awake, prompting harsh criticisms from conservatives.

The Daily Mail obtained a leaked memo from October 2022 from the Government Accountability Office, which is the ultimate audit institution for the United States federal government. The memo revealed that the GAO had forbidden employees to use terms such as male and female. The memo was published on the GAO intranet.

The four-page document states that “meaning and connotations are subject to rapid change, so we shouldn’t rely on precedents (GAO, otherwise), but rather consult early with individuals and groups within the scope of work.” It offers “common alternative terms to gendered ones” like “artificial,” instead of “manmade,” and “crewed,” as opposed “manned,” as well as “workforce,” as opposed “manpower.”

The memo says: “When referring to sex identity or sex, make sure you know the difference and don’t confuse the two.” “Sex” is the biological classification of a person into male, female, or intersex categories. The innermost conception of a person as male, female or a mixture of both is their gender identity. Gender identity can be based on the sex assigned to a person at birth (cisgender), a different sex, (transgender), neither.

The memo warns: “When using binary terminology, do not imply that everyone identifies with sex binaries or gender binaries, or that they all share the biological traits of their assigned sex.”

The GAO is a part of the executive branch, but the president appoints its head — the comptroller-general.

Nile Gardiner, of the Heritage Foundation, called the effort to change language “truly evil, nefarious and dangerous.” He added, “Dictating which language can be used and what cannot is not what it is about in a free nation.”

Ron Johnson, Wisconsin GOP senator, said that if Biden and his radical leftists focused on the real issues facing America – forty-year inflation, out of hand crime, open border, and a flood deadly drugs – instead of forcing an awoke ideology down our throats our country would be far better able to tackle the problems Biden has exacerbated.
