Hezbollah announces ‘day of unprecedented anger’ against Israel, Biden’s visit

Hezbollah, the Lebanon-based group that denounces Israel’s attack on Gaza’s hospital and calls for a “day of unprecedented anger”, called on Wednesday as protests broke out outside the US Embassy in Beirut only hours after the incident.

Hezbollah – a group backed by Iran that fought Israel in 2006. They called for a day of protests in Beirut late on Tuesday, after Palestinian officials claimed hundreds of people had been killed in the attack on the hospital.

Israel’s military denied the bombing. According to military intelligence, the hospital had been hit by an unsuccessful rocket launch from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group in the enclave.

Islamic Jihad denies that its rockets are involved in the explosion at the hospital.
