Massachusetts judge rejects attempt to halt emergency shelter cap, handing win to Maura Healey

A Suffolk County Judge rejected Wednesday a bid to stop a plan that would cap the number local and migrant families who are homeless in emergency shelters. This was a victory for Gov. Maura Shealey’s administration was sued by a Boston legal group last week.

The state housing department won the ruling, arguing through its lawyers on Tuesday that they had no funds left.
