Pelosi endorses Schiff in California Senate race — if Feinstein doesn’t run

Rep. Nancy Peolsi endorsed Rep. Adam Schiff in California’s high-profile Senate primary. She supported the former House Intelligence Committee Chair but only under the condition that Senator Dianne Feinstein does not run again.

“If Senator Feinstein chooses to run for re-election she has my full support. “If she does not run, I will support Adam Schiff, the Chair of the House Intelligence Committee, who is well-versed in the relationship between strong Democracy and strong economics,” Pelosi (D.Calif.), who was the House’s two-time Speaker, stated in an email. He has been a member of the House for over ten years and has always focused on strengthening Democracy with justice and building an economy that works in all areas.

A spokesperson for Feinstein didn’t immediately respond to an email seeking comment about Pelosi’s announcement.

Although Feinstein is 89 years old, and has been in the Senate for the longest time, she has not yet announced whether she will retire or seek another six year term. However, her potential successors have already entered the primary race to succeed her.

D.C. isn’t singing Kumbaya just yet

Quite frankly, we may have won the election, but there’s still a war to be fought and the Left isn’t resting; they’re regrouping. And now that Donald Trump is Time’s Person of the Year, you can be assured their feelings have been exacerbated. They’re not singing Kumbaya in DC just yet. In fact, they’re plotting ways to embarrass him and cause him to fail. Will you join our efforts to fight back and defeat them?. We can’t wait until January 21—that will be too late!

Pelosi’s conditional endorsement comes just one week after Schiff (D.Calif.), officially launched his campaign. Rep. Katie Porter (D.Calif.), was the first to enter the race. Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., has told her colleagues privately that she plans to run. Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., has expressed interest and said that she will be considering a bid in the “next few months”.
