Pennsylvania Voters Reveal Top Election Issues As 2024 Voting Begins

The poll revealed that Kamala was slightly ahead of former President Donald Trump.

According to a Commonwealth Foundation poll, inflation and cost of living were the two most important issues facing Pennsylvania voters heading into Election Day.

In the survey of 800 registered Pennsylvania voters conducted between September 26 and 29, it was found that immigration, inflation/cost-of-living, and general economic issues were the most pressing concerns for residents. All parties surveyed were concerned about the ability to pay their energy bills.

“The impact on voters’ pocketbooks is the main concern of the higher prices for gasoline, electric power, and other forms of energy,” Commonwealth Foundation Senior vice president Erik Telford told reporters during a Tuesday press conference.

5 years later & AOC is still beating her antisemitic, anti-Israel drum. Unfortunately, her influence is only growing, and the media is happy to give her a bullhorn anytime she wants one. If you’ve had enough of AOC, then help us start the efforts to remove her from Congress early so we succeed! It’s time to Protect American Values!

Pennsylvania’s voting has already begun.

Pennsylvania voters were asked to name their top three national issues. They chose immigration/border safety (12%), inflation/cost-of-living (20%) and the economy as a whole (9%). Abortion was not the most important issue to those surveyed. This is despite Democrats having focused their campaigning efforts on this issue.

A poll found that Vice President Kamala Harris had a 50%-46% advantage over Donald Trump, the former president. The poll revealed that her lead was boosted in part by the enthusiasm of Democratic voters for Harris after President Joe Biden stepped down from the race.

Biden’s popularity is still low in Pennsylvania, with only 43% of Pennsylvanians approving his performance and 55% disapproving.

Averaging the polls, Trump and Harris are virtually tied with 48%. Telford stated that in November, the key factors would be the messaging of candidates on energy and inflation as well as turnout by independent voters.

Telford stated that “a key factor in voter behavior will be how candidates define themselves with regard to financial and economic issues.” Candidates and elected officials need to be aware of economic and financial pressures that families and individuals face. “Politics that worsen the situation or threaten their financial security will not get much support.”

In the high-stakes Senate election in Pennsylvania, incumbent Democratic Senator Bob Casey had a lead of 49%-38% over Republican challenger Dave McCormick. Republicans have spent a lot of money to support McCormick. An estimated $113million was allocated between Labor Day and Election Day.

Pennsylvania voters (57%) were generally pessimistic regarding the future of the state and country (68%).
