Chicago Mayor to House Single Adult Male Border Crossers in Old Hospital Despite Opposition from Residents

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson’s (D) plan to house border crossers, illegal aliens and single male adults in a hospital that is closed on the South Side of the city despite residents’ opposition and warnings about gang membership.

Since August last year, more than 11,000 illegal aliens and border crossers have entered the sanctuary city Chicago, Illinois. Johnson and the Democrat controlled city council have approved $51million in taxpayer funding for newly arrived migrants to receive housing and social services.

The Near South Health Center in South Carolina, which had closed a few months ago, will now house 150 border crossers, including illegal aliens and single men.

Block Club Chicago reports on the South Side residents’ fierce opposition to the city’s use of their community as a dump for border-crossers and illegal immigrants. One resident was angry that city officials only gave residents a one-day notice of the plan.

Is Israel’s fate tied to Syria?

Syria has fallen, but we are still far from seeing the last of the hostages returned. Our brave soldiers must fight to secure Israel’s borders, rid the region of emboldened attackers all over the Middle East, and adapt to the escalating threats from Syria, but Israel doesn’t have enough supplies to properly win this war. Can you support our IDF sons and daughters as they continue fighting for the Survival of the Promised Land?.

Residents have said that they should be consulted about the placement of migrants in their communities. Another resident has noted that limited resources from the community are taken away from local residents and used to support newly arrived migrants.

Tyrone Muhammad is a local activist against the city’s facilitation of illegal immigration. He fears that some single male border crossers or illegal aliens may be “former members of gangs.”

Chicagoans are not the only ones who have felt neglected.

Johnson filled the Wilbur Wright College in May with over 300 illegal aliens and border crossers, despite the overwhelming opposition of residents from the Northwest Side.

One resident commented, “It’s like this whole thing has been dumped on us.” “We pay tax in this district, and we should have known what was going on.”

“They are free to roam around the neighborhood.” There are seniors, children and disabled. “Have all of these people had background checks?” asked another resident. “… This is a slap on the face for those who have come here legally.”
