Argentina’s Javier Milei Visits the Ohel, Gravesite of Lubavitcher Rebbe, Before Meeting U.S. Officials

As the first stop on his trip to the United States and before his meetings with U.S. government officials, Argentina’s newly elected President Javier Milei visited the burial place of the seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem Mendel Snowrson.

Milei and his entourage arrived in Queens at the cemetery just after 9 AM. There, he met Rabbi Simon Jacobson who is now a mentor and informal advisor. Milei’s emotions were evident when he first met Rabbi Jacobson. They prayed together at the gravesite.

Breitbart reported that the Libertarian Populist Milei was a great admirer of Judaism. He has studied the Torah, and even considered converting from Catholicism to Judaism.

Jacobson said to Breitbart News, Milei had called him on Saturday night and informed him that he was going to visit the Ohel Monday morning (the Schneerson burial ground).

Jacobson, when asked by Breitbart about Milei’s fascination with Rebbe, said: “He’s very spiritual and I think that he has this instinct.” “Some people are born with that instinct. He just feels that it is true and resonates for him.”

“It’s universal and global. I think he feels like he is on a mission.” Jacobson said, “I think he sees that a leader has to have a vision. A leader isn’t only an administrator. He’s a moral model, and he must inspire people.” “I think that he only sees things in the Rebbe’s teachings that he can relate to.”

“He felt a sense that there were blessings from the heavens and that this was a holy place which brought him these blessings. He came here to thank you.”

Milei has repeatedly pledged to change Argentina’s current foreign policy which is dominated by leftists and oriented towards China, Russia and Iran. Breitbart reported this previously.

Rabbi Jacobson, speaking to Breitbart, said that he believed there was divine intervention in Milei’s election. This is despite the chaos in the Middle East, which has been stoked by Iran and funded.

“We spoke earlier. I was with him at breakfast and told him that it is historic times with all that’s going on in Israel and the chaos. To have a man like him can influence all leaders around the world. Jacobson stated that leadership was lacking and he could be a moral example. “He could transform the world.”

Jacobson said that he was “honored” to be a part of the victory.
