Fauci answers ‘not recall’ over 100 times, reveals ‘drastic and systemic’ failures, House chair says
Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio), Chairman of the House Coronavirus Select Subcommittee said that Dr. Anthony Fauci “didn’t recall” important conversations or information more than 100 times on the first day. He also revealed major failings in the U.S. healthcare system.
“Dr. Wenstrup, after Fauci’s testimony revealed systemic and drastic failures in America’s public health systems, said Monday, after Fauci, the former director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), met with the subcommittee that morning.
Wenstrup said that while Fauci was leading the nation’s COVID-19 response, he had no clue what was going on at NIAID, the federal agency he served as director of for almost four decades.
Wenstrup said, “It’s also concerning that our nation’s face to the worst public health crisis in history ‘doesn’t recall” important details about COVID-19’s origins and policies during the pandemic era.” Fauci also “claimed that he did not remember’ important COVID-19 conversations or information more than 100 different times,” Wenstrup said.
