GOP lawmakers slam Biden for Ukraine trip, neglecting East Palestine, southern border: ‘They can keep him!’
Republican senators from both the House and Senate criticised President Biden’s trip to Kiev, Ukraine on Monday. They said that it showed Biden is more concerned about Ukraine than the border crisis or the release toxic chemicals into the water supply in East Palestine, Ohio.

“So, on Presidents Day I’m not surprised Biden is leaving America in favor of Ukraine. Since the beginning of his presidency, he has abandoned America’s interests. He said, “They can keep him!”
R-Mo. Senator Eric Schmitt, a freshman senator, said Monday, “If You want to understand why so Many Americans are frustrated right this moment: Biden is there in Ukraine before Ohio.”
Josh Hawley (Senior Senator from Missouri) tweeted a similar message Monday. He said, “No time to travel East Palestine, Ohio but plenty time for this.”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) tweeted Monday, “This is incredibly infuriating.” “Today, on our President’s Day Joe Biden, President of the United States, chose Ukraine over America while forcing the American people pay for Ukraine’s government, war, and its governance.”
She said, “I cannot express how much Americans hate Joe Biden.”
Greene also tweeted that the president had not yet visited Ohio after the train derailment earlier in the month, which led to a toxic chemical crisis that continues to worry residents.
Greene said that Biden did not travel to East Palestine, Ohio on President’s Day. “He went to Ukraine. A NON-NATO country whose leader is an actor, and is now apparently commanding our United States army to world war.”
She said, “We must impeach America Last fool before its too late.”
Senator Tommy Tuberville (Republican from Alabama) stated via Twitter that “#POTUS now spends more time in Ukraine then he has at the southern border.” @JoeBiden refuses address the AMERICAN crises that will affect generations and pose a threat to our national security.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) tweeted Monday, “I hope that otw back Kyiv, President pays a trip to East Palestine, Ohio. Perhaps take the Secretary of State DOT and Governor
Biden’s visit comes days before the one year anniversary of Putin’s invading. Biden stated that he would announce new sanctions against Russia and more military defenses for Ukraine later, including ammunition and artillery.
Scott Perry, a Republican from Pennsylvania, sits on House Foreign Affairs committee. He criticised Biden’s trip and his handling of the souther border crisis.
He tweeted Monday, “Breathtaking that President Biden could show up in Ukraine for their border security, but cannot do the same thing for America.”
