James O’Keefe is a guerilla filmmaker who exposes left-wing politicians, institutions and individuals. He is currently at Project Veritas which he founded over a decade ago.

O’Keefe, in a 45-minute video that appears to have been recorded Monday at Project Veritas’s offices, said that he was “packing my personal belongings” after being suspended indefinitely from his CEO role and removed from the group’s board.

O’Keefe appeared to be speaking to Project Veritas employees. He said that the video was being published anonymously on Vimeo and was being recorded for “internal distribution.” However, he wanted the footage to be released widely.

O’Keefe stated, “None of it makes any sense. And why is this happening now?” “Those are my questions. “I don’t know the answers.”

O’Keefe admitted that he might be away at Project Veritas but that he plans to keep his work going. He suggested that he could start a rival watchdog group and poach Veritas talent.

O’Keefe’s resignation was announced after weeks of internal turmoil at Project Veritas, and apparent conflicts between O’Keefe’s leadership and those of the conservative watchdog organization. His board suspended O’Keefe earlier this month, after he tried to fire the chief strategy officer and financial officers of Project Veritas over alleged conflicts in fundraising.

O’Keefe noted in the Monday video that O’Keefe’s ouster occurred on the heels the publication of an undercover video allegedly showing a Pfizer research chief expressing concerns over Covid-19 vaccines, and admitting that his company had planned to mutate coronavirus via “directed evolution.” O’Keefe did not directly link the Pfizer sting to his downfall, but he called it the “biggest” story in the history Social media speculation has suggested that O’Keefe was fired from Project Veritas in order to shield the organization from any legal consequences from the videos.

O’Keefe stated that the Pfizer sting was the only thing that had changed. “Then, suddenly, an unexpected emergency occurred just a few weeks later.”

O’Keefe was also subject to scrutiny by some of his employees. O’Keefe has also been subject to scrutiny by his workers. On February 6, 16 Project Veritas employees signed an 11-page letter. O’Keefe admitted to the criticisms in his Monday video, saying that he’s not the type of leader who asks his employees about their Thanksgiving holidays or knows the names of their families. O’Keefe said that he is “sometimes a difficult guy to work with.”

He said that he has not always been the most compassionate leader. This is a mistake of mine. However, he added later that he loves many of you. These words were never spoken by me, but I will now.

He also accused members of the board of fabricating stories about his character and not adhering to their obligations to loyalty and care for organization. He said, “They shouldn’t try to destroy an organisation.” “That’s not what a member of a board does.”

O’Keefe talks about how Project Veritas was created from humble beginnings. He used bubble gum and duct tape to make his first videos. He also spoke about the pressures and struggles he faced along the journey, including being handcuffed and taken into custody by FBI agents, having his cell phone confiscated, his private information leaked and placed under house arrest, as well as being chased by an education union leader at high speed.

He expressed gratitude to Project Veritas staff members and appreciation for “many” of them.

O’Keefe stated, “Over the past few weeks I’ve felt a lot despair and seen a lot evil.” “You could say that I have seen glimpses of heaven, hell, darkness, and light.”

O’Keefe refused to comment on Project Veritas’ ouster when National Review reached him Monday. O’Keefe said that his comments to his former employees were sincere.
