Sen. Rick Scott: Biden Takes CCP Money, But Trump Gets Indicted

Senator Rick Scott, R.Fla., stated on Sunday that there’s a double standard in American politics today. One in which the House Oversight Committee could show that President Joe Biden received money from the Chinese Communist Party, and one in which former President Donald Trump could face indictment for alleged hush-money payments made to an adult film star.

Scott said to “Sunday Morning Futures” that there was a double standard after he responded to revelations from an Oversight Committee memo. Trump is the standard. It’s “go all in, attack him.” Everyone’s fine with that. If it’s Biden, “Oh, we have to be careful: We’ve got the law to follow.”

“That’s why Americans are fed-up with DOJ [the Department of Justice], FBI with so many things within our federal government. They are aware that there is a double standard. Scott stated that this is incorrect.

Thursday’s press release by the House Oversight Committee stated that State Energy HK Limited, a Chinese firm, wired $3million to Rob Walker’s business on March 1, 2017. This was less than two months after Vice-President Joe Biden resigned. The New York Post reported State Energy HK Limited as a company that is connected to CEFC China Energy, a Chinese Communist Party-backed energy company.

“The press release said that State Energy HK Limited wired $1,065,000 “the next day” to a company associated James Gilliar, another Biden family member. The Biden family received $1,065,000 in payments in three months from different banks accounts.

Scott said in the interview that “Look, we have to find out what happened to Biden with all that money.”

On Sunday, Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), chairman of the House Oversight Committee said that 11 additional reports are expected to be released regarding the Biden family’s business dealings in China.
