Gold star families of fallen soldiers in Afghanistan slam Biden for not saying their kids’ names

At the Republican National Convention some Gold Star families of the 13 fallen soldiers in Afghanistan paid an emotional tribute, stating that President Joe Biden had never spoken the names of their children out loud.

Joe Biden was there to greet the plane when the bodies of Hunter Lopez and other Marine Corps personnel were brought back to the United States. Herman Lopez, Hunter Lopez’s Father, said. Herman Lopez, Hunter’s father, said:

In August 2021 the United States withdrew their troops from Afghanistan, which resulted in the Taliban retaking control of the country and the deaths of 13 United States soldiers.

Fallen soldier Sgt. Cheryl Jules’ aunt Nicole Gee also spoke at this convention and said that although Biden may not have forgotten about the 13 fallen soldiers, they had not.

She continued to praise the former president Donald Trump by saying that he had not forgotten about the soldiers. “Donald Trump will never forget our sacrifices and the bravery of the servicemen and women.” Join us to put him back in the White House.”

A chant of “Never Forget” was heard at one point. The crowd also chanted all the names of the 13 servicemembers who were killed during the withdrawal.
