GOP Rep. Rosendale says funds earmarked for Ukraine can go to FEMA, but government won’t do it

Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.) said that Congress could reallocate funds intended for Ukraine to FEMA for hurricane relief but the government refused to do so.

Rosendale stated on the TV show “Just the News, No Noise,” that “we can take the funds that were earmarked for Ukraine and direct them to FEMA, specifying that they are for emergency services provided for the people who have suffered from this hurricane.”

According to The New York Post, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas stated Wednesday that FEMA does not “have the funds” for Americans to be helped during the remainder of hurricane season.

Hurricane Helene swept through the Southeast part of the U.S. a few weeks ago, leaving thousands without electricity in the Carolinas and Georgia.

Is Israel’s fate tied to Syria?

Syria has fallen, but we are still far from seeing the last of the hostages returned. Our brave soldiers must fight to secure Israel’s borders, rid the region of emboldened attackers all over the Middle East, and adapt to the escalating threats from Syria, but Israel doesn’t have enough supplies to properly win this war. Can you support our IDF sons and daughters as they continue fighting for the Survival of the Promised Land?.

He said, “We expect another hurricane to hit.” “We don’t have the money.” FEMA lacks the funds necessary to survive the current season. What — and what is imminent?

Rosendale stated that funds intended for Ukraine could be used to rebuild utilities and roads.

He said that the federal government would only act quickly if it chose to.
