IRS removes ‘entire investigative team’ in Hunter Biden probe, whistleblower claims retaliation: report

A report on Monday claims that the IRS removed its “entire investigation team” from the multi-year tax fraud case of Hunter Biden. The whistleblower, who had raised concerns over the handling of the matter, claimed the move to be “clearly revengeful.”

According to The New York Post the whistleblowers’ attorneys told Congress the removal was ordered by the Department of Justice.

“Today, the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Supervisory Special agent we represent received notification that he and the entire investigation team will be removed from the ongoing sensitive investigation into the controversial and high-profile subject on which our client wanted to make whistleblower revelations to Congress.

Mark Lytle, Tristan Leavitt and others wrote: “He was told that the Department of Justice requested the change.”
