U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-Texas) says that he heard from President of Guatemala Alejandro Giammattei that over 80,000 migrants are heading toward the U.S. Mexico border ahead of the expiration of Title 42 on Thursday.

President Giammattei said that he also tried to contact the White House about the issue, but no one would answer his calls.

As several migrants continue their surge along the border in anticipation of Title 42’s end on May 11, the news of an exodus has been announced.

Title 42, a public order that was put in place by 2020 to quickly expel hundreds and thousands of migrants because of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The Biden administration says that this is not the case.

The President and his team warned that the penalties for illegal entry will be increased and encouraged them to use legal pathways instead.

It hasn’t stopped people from sneaking into the U.S. to find freedom.

The Biden administration announced on Monday that it would launch a “targeted operation” to deport and process illegal immigrants in El Paso.

Agents and officers of Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement were to execute the operation in one hotspot for migrant border crossings.

Fox News reported that on Tuesday morning, Fox News spoke with illegal immigrants camped out in downtown El Paso. They said they were woken by the authorities and given pamphlets encouraging them to surrender themselves to CBP.

Fox News reported that a man said the person who gave him a brochure had a badge, and even a gun. The man was still not scared by the gun and badge. He told Fox News that he would not turn himself in.

Brownsville, Texas is also home to migrants who are lined up on the border, about 800 miles south of El Paso.

In one video, several hundred migrants can be seen crossing the border illegally.

The Biden administration announced last week the deployment of 1,500 soldiers to the border. The administration also announced the creation of migrant centers in Latin America, and an agreement for Mexico to accept illegal immigrants from outside Mexico.

The Department of Homeland Security has announced the distribution of funding of $332,000,000 to Non-Governmental Organizations and local governments for helping migrants released from custody.

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has continued to state that the border is closed, and that migrants who enter the U.S. after Thursday may face criminal prosecution or re-entry restrictions.
