Biden campaign seeks to halt slide with Black voters with new initiative

According to polls, President Biden has lost ground among Black voters, an important Democratic constituency.

President Biden has launched a new outreach effort to reach Black voters, as polls indicate that the president is losing support with this key Democratic constituency in favor of his rival, Donald Trump.

The Biden-Harris Campaign announced on Wednesday an eight-figure spending spree to engage with Black student groups, community organizations and faith centers in battleground and national states. This is part of the campaign’s efforts to rally support for its reelection. Biden and Kamala Harris will speak at the first “Black Voters for Biden Harris” rally in Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon.

The launch of Black Voters for Biden Harris coalition today is another example of how our campaign works hard to win every vote. The newly announced summer outreach program and this coalition are the next step in our campaign’s historic outreach to Black voters, who form the core of the Biden and Harris coalition.

“While we work hard to win Black America’s respect, Donald Trump continues to demonstrate how ignorant he really is.” Fulks stated that Trump hosts janky rap shows to conceal the fact he lacks resources and competence to engage our community.

Biden’s rally follows a Trump rally held in the Bronx that attracted as many as 10,000 attendees in the deepest blue part of New York City. Trump said that the high inflation experienced during Biden’s term as president had disproportionately affected Black and Hispanic households. He also promised to turn around the economy if voters sent him back to the White House.

Trump’s choice to target minorities in places such as New York, where Republicans had not won the state for decades, is a reflection of the Trump campaign’s view that Biden shows weakness when it comes to key Democratic constituencies.

This theory is supported by polls. In a recent Fox News Poll, Biden received 72% of support from Black voters. This is up from 66% back in February but still behind his 79% prior to the 2020 elections. In the November 2020 Fox News Voter Analysis, 91% of Black Voters sided with Biden.

In a New York Times/Siena survey of six battleground States, 76% of Black voters rated the economy today “fair” or ‘poor,’ while only 22% said that it was “excellent” – or “good”. 1 issue.

In order to avoid this, the Biden-Harris campaigns promises to increase outreach to Black voters over the next few months. Biden, in addition to the rally on Wednesday in Philadelphia will also attend an event in the city with Black-owned businesses and the campaign will host an event in conjunction with local community members and national organizations “focused on direct voting contact”.

The Biden campaign will work with Black groups throughout the summer to reach Black voters, build up the campaign’s visibility in swing states, and register people to cast their ballots.

The Biden campaign stated, “Our campaign believes Black voters deserve an opportunity to hear Team Biden-Harris and to earn their votes, rather than being assumed,” “We are achieving this through our historic investment in Black media, outreach and creative engagement, culturally competent content, and innovative organizing initiatives.” We have invested more and earlier than any other campaign in talking to Black Voters.

The Biden team accuses Trump as well of “running with an anti-Black Agenda” and “talking to Black Voters”.

The Trump campaign didn’t immediately respond to an inquiry for comment.
