Mayorkas Slammed During Interview Over His Border Failures: ‘Very Hard To Call That A Success’

Alejandro Mayorkas, the Department of Homeland Security secretary, struggled in an interview conducted over the weekend to answer questions about the Biden Administration’s failures repeatedly to secure the U.S. Mexico border.

Mayorkas faced a lot of criticism for his mistakes during an interview on ABC News “This Week”, conducted by Martha Raddatz, when he was discussing Biden’s border crisis.

Raddatz asked about Biden’s last-week executive order that experts and critics have branded as “weak”. This comes after Biden claimed previously that he could not use executive orders to solve the problem.

This has been in effect for five days. Raddatz wondered what the impact was. How many migrants were turned away at those ports between them?

George Soros sent his goons into my district to hold a fake townhall meeting. This is Rep. Jack Bergman. They didn’t invite me, but they used an empty chair as a prop while they attacked my support for DOGE and America First policies. If you’re tired of Soros-funded leftists attempting to sabotage America’s future, then please help me keep up the fight in Congress.

Mayorkas refused the answer and stated that the implementation of the executive order was still at an “early stage”.

Raddatz showed Mayorkas later a clip of an interview she had with him in march 2021, where Mayorkas stated at that time: “We’ve seen a large number of migrations in the past. We know what to do. We have a strategy. We will succeed because we are following our plan. We do this. It takes time, but that is clear. We can do it, even though it’s hard. “This is what we are doing, and we will achieve our mission.”

Raddatz noted that under Biden, millions of illegal immigrants have entered the U.S. and that not much has changed in the past three years.

It would be difficult to call this a success, she said.
