Republicans to condemn pro-choice activist violence after Roe rollback with resolution
Over 100 Republicans co-sponsored a House resolution condemning violence, vandalism, and intimidation by prochoice groups after last year’s shocking leakage of the Supreme Court’s opinion on Roe v. Wade.
The resolution was announced Tuesday morning by Rep. Mike Johnson (Republican from Louisiana), along with about 100 GOP cosponsors. The resolution will be put to a vote by the congressman on Wednesday.
Johnson stated in a Twitter statement that Johnson had no intention of releasing the opinion or causing violence. Johnson also said that there was ZERO accountability.
According to the legislation, there have been more than 100 attacks on pro-life facilities and groups since Roe was reversed.
The Supreme Court ruled in Dobbs-v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization in June 2022 that Roe v. Wade was invalid. This essentially ended the constitutional right of abortion and returned the individual states the ability to ban, limit, or allow abortion.
A draft opinion of the Supreme Court was leaked to Politico in advance of Roe V. Wade’s overturn.
It is not known where the draft was taken from.
Jane’s Revenge is a left-wing prochoice group that has been responsible for 18 arsonist and vandalistic incidents since May 2022 when the draft opinion was published. These attacks targeted crisis pregnancy centres and other faith-based organisations throughout the U.S.
During a hearing of the Senate Homeland Security Committee in November 2022, the FBI head shared that approximately 70% of all violence-related threats to abortion had been committed against pro-life groups since Roe was overturned.
Despite the continued attacks on pro-choice groups, it seems that the number of attacks on pro-life groups is growing significantly.
According to Crime Prevention Research Center data, there have been 22 times as many attacks on prolifers since the Supreme Court leak.

Whatever happened to the investigation to try to find out who leaked the information from the Supreme Court? Like everything else, somehow this topic has disappeared! I still want to know who did it.
